Therefore, the development of upstream forestry and the construction of raw material forests are inevitable choices for the paper industry. On the other hand, forestry and paper integration can help the paper industry to effectively increase carbon productivity. As we all know, raising carbon productivity is the core of developing a low-carbon economy, and raising carbon productivity can be achieved by various means such as improving industry efficiency output, raising carbon sinks, and reducing carbon sources. In the “forestry-paper integration” production method, the upstream raw material forest not only provides wood pulp raw materials for downstream papermaking, but also absorbs carbon dioxide, greatly increases carbon sinks, and provides biofuels and reduces carbon sources. Some experts even stated that the "integration of forest and paper" in the paper industry can achieve almost zero emissions of carbon dioxide.
