Standard No.: GB/T12085.6-2010 Environmental testing methods for optical and optical instruments - Part 6: Sand dust, specified test conditions, conditional tests, test procedures and environmental test marks for sand dust tests. The sand dust test chamber is suitable for optical instruments, instruments equipped with optical components, and optical components. The purpose of the test is to study the degree of change in the optical, thermal, mechanical, chemical, and electrical properties of the sample affected by sand dust. It is to study the failure of the moving parts (such as sliding surfaces, bearings, contactors, controls, gears) or unacceptable surface wear. Note that this test is not intended to determine the wear resistance to coarse sand dust.
