Remco Products, Vikan to Host Food Safety Mini-Sessions at IAFP 2017

At this year's IAFP convention, Remco Products and Vikan are teaming up to host a series of informative and engaging food safety seminars. These short, 15-minute sessions will take place at booth #321 and cover a range of critical topics related to sanitation and hygiene in food processing. With eight expert speakers delivering a total of 12 presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's top minds. The seminar lineup includes discussions on hygienic design, strategies for minimizing cross-contamination, insights into current food safety regulations, best practices for validating cleaning processes, the importance of using metal detectable brush bristles, and key trends shaping the future of food safety. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, encouraging interaction between the audience and the speakers. One of the highlights of the event is a hands-on workshop on the hygienic design of brushware, which will take place on Sunday evening at 8 p.m., as well as additional sessions on Monday at 12:15 and 5:15 p.m., and again on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. This interactive experience is designed to provide participants with practical knowledge they can apply directly to their own operations. Leading the charge is Dr. John Holah, a renowned applied microbiologist and technical director at Holchem Laboratories. His extensive background in preventing microbial, chemical, and foreign body contamination makes him a perfect fit to kick off the series. Joining him are other distinguished experts such as Dr. Edyta Margas, a food safety and hygienic design authority at Bühler AG, who brings her expertise in emerging processing methods and factory hygiene. Deb Smith, Vikan's global hygiene specialist, will also be sharing her wealth of experience, having spent over three decades in food safety research and training. Other notable speakers include Duane Grassman, market hygienist at Nestlé, Bill Bremer, principal of food safety compliance at Kestrel Management, Dr. Stine Lønnerup Bislev, hygiene and compliance manager at Vikan, Amit Kheradia, education and technical support manager at Remco Products, and Tom Kirby, director of national accounts at Accuform. These sessions promise to be both educational and inspiring, offering valuable insights into maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the food processing industry. Whether you're new to the field or a seasoned professional looking to stay ahead of the curve, there's something for everyone at these seminars. Don't miss out on the chance to network with industry leaders and gain actionable tips that could make all the difference in your workplace.
