Shanghai and other four places take the lead in completing environmental remediation of water sources

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment said on the 11th that from the current progress, Shanghai, Ningxia, Hunan, Qinghai and other four provinces have taken the lead in completing the environmental remediation tasks related to water sources, and established a sound working mechanism suitable for local characteristics. The completion rate of tasks in 11 provinces such as Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shandong and Zhejiang reached over 90%; the completion rates of tasks in Sichuan, Anhui, Yunnan and Hainan were all above 85%, meeting the progress requirements.

From the completion of the cities and towns, in the 276 cities and towns involved, 100 cities including Hunan Changsha and Shandong Rizhao have all completed related remediation tasks.

However, there are still 12 provinces whose mission completion rates have not met the progress requirements, namely Tianjin, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Beijing. Some cities and towns have relatively slow water source remediation work, such as Gansu Linxia, ​​Jiangxi Yingtan, Anhui Fuyang, Guangdong Heyuan, Jiangsu Yangzhou and other six cities and municipalities, the task completion rate is less than 50%.

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment said that it is less than 60 days from the end of this year. The remaining problems are mostly "hard bones" and the task is still very arduous. Among the provinces that have not completed the remediation tasks, there are more than 50 remaining problems in the five provinces, followed by 197 in Guangdong, 73 in Jiangsu, 73 in Yunnan, 66 in Guangxi, and 65 in Jiangxi, accounting for 60% of the total remaining problems.
