The silver-gray streamline is beautiful and thick. It is printed with 3D titanium alloy material using the "coaxial powder feeding" technology.

According to Jiao Zongge, an exhibitor at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, at present, Beihang has produced more than 50 specifications and hundreds of large-scale key components using laser additive (ie 3d printing) technology, including more than 10 aircraft, spacecraft, gas turbines and steam turbines. In September this year, the “Pujiang No.1” satellite designed by Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute was successfully launched. The 3D printed products have been applied for the first time on domestic satellites. The antenna brackets are made of 3D printed products of titanium alloy materials.

According to Wang Lianfeng, an expert of Shanghai Aerospace Equipment Manufacturing Plant and president of Shanghai Additive Manufacturing Association, the use of 3D printed aerospace components is not for "fashionable", but for the rapid development of satellites and the need to reduce costs. It took a four-month production cycle to produce a satellite stand, and it took only three days to print with 3d. The printing was completed in 1 day, and the performance test was carried out in 2 days. At present, “Pujiang No.1” has been running in orbit and working normally. This indicates that the performance indexes of the 3D printing bracket are equivalent to those of the traditional machining, and fully meet the equipment requirements.
