A constant voltage power supply superior to 5 x 10-5 is required to test the stability of the illumination while testing the life of the lamp. 2 The power of tungsten lamps is large or small. When choosing tungsten lamps, the power is small. For general liquid chromatography instruments, such as tungsten light source, the rated power is mostly 15~20W, and the minimum instrument bulb is rated. The power is only about 3W. In the HPLC UV detector, it is better to choose a low-power bulb, which is beneficial to the design of the tungsten lamp power supply. It is particularly noteworthy that in the design concept of modern HPLC instruments, it is not simply required to increase the power of the light source, but to reduce the noise of the optical and electronic systems and improve the stability of the power supply of the lamp. When we manufacture, the power of the bulb is small, the heat is small, and the stability of the instrument is greatly improved. If you want to reduce the noise, in general, it is not difficult, sometimes it is easier than improving the signal strength, and the effect is good. 3 The bulb is small, which is good for the overall design and can reduce the volume of the entire LC instrument. 4 Pay attention to the shape of the tungsten lamp, there must be no skew, especially the position of the filament should be positive to ensure the uniformity of the grating.
