Ana Milena Hernández Palacios, an interior designer by profession, and Christophe Penasse, a seasoned marketer, joined forces to create an agency that seamlessly integrates branding, product design, art direction, and space planning. As the founder and creative director of Masquespacio, Ana is deeply passionate about design, viewing it as not just a career but a way of life. Her attention to detail ensures that every project reflects the client's uniqueness while maintaining a competitive edge.
Christophe Penasse, the co-founder and current marketing director of Masquespacio, thrives on creating innovative marketing strategies for his clients. His passion for design and branding drives him to push boundaries. In addition to his role at Masquespacio, Christophe also serves as the chief editor for Blog del Diseño, a platform dedicated to exploring the world of design.
Since its inception in 2010, Masquespacio has made significant waves in the design community. They've earned international acclaim through mentions in top-tier magazines and prestigious awards such as "Massimo Dutti New Values" by Architectural Digest Spain, "Wave of the Future" by Hospitality Design USA, and "Young Talented Awards" by Elle Decor.
Every time Masquespacio releases a new collection, anticipation runs high among design enthusiasts. For Essential Home, the collection represents "first and foremost a mid-century inspired design with a high-quality production that moves away from the neutral aesthetics often seen in Scandinavian brands, focusing instead on evoking emotions and showcasing unique forms."
"We were drawn to the brand a few years back. We admired how they focused on creating a distinct aesthetic with strong emotional appeal, evident in their furniture collections filled with surprising details. When Essential Home approached us, we were thrilled to collaborate. It was crucial for us to feel aligned with the brand we were designing for, and Essential Home fit the bill perfectly. We’ve designed a wide range of products, from chairs and tables to barstools and lighting features. Each design falls under two or three main collections, each with its own aesthetic and concept."
The collaboration between Masquespacio and Essential Home has yielded a unique collection titled "Hollywood Glamour," inspired by the iconic film styles of the era. This mid-century modern collection captures the essence of passionate love stories and playful burlesque environments, aiming to revive the vibrant spirit of old Hollywood glamour.
"Our new collection is rich in emotion, featuring organic forms and contrasting materials that introduce new textures. These three product sets will transport you to your favorite movie set through exceptional design that adapts to various projects, whether it's a modern residential space or a charmingly rustic restaurant."
