Sample preparation-sample preparation and storage

Necessity of sample pretreatment
Sample pretreatment refers to the process of sample preparation and extraction, purification and concentration of the components to be tested in the sample. The purpose of sample preparation is to eliminate matrix interference, protect the instrument, and improve the sensitivity, selectivity, accuracy and precision of the detection method.
In the field of food testing, it is essential to pre-treat food for the following reasons:
(1) Most foods are natural compounds, so they contain complex ingredients
(2) The target compound limit standards are getting stricter and stricter, and the detection limit requirements are getting lower and lower.
(3) Some analytes are similar to other ingredients contained in food, and are prone to false positives.
(4) The properties of each target compound such as polarity, boiling point, and thermal stability vary greatly.
(5) There may be a variety of harmful components to be tested, which will have a synergistic effect on human body injury. For example, when pesticides such as dieldrin and DDT coexist with polyphenylene, they will double the toxicity. Therefore, countries pay great attention to on-site investigation of multi-component hazardous residues in food.
